DJ Aardvarck (Mike Kivits) already released numerous records on Dutch labels like Djax-Up, Signum, Delsin, Rushhour en Music For Speakers. 'Em Sees' contains six of his most experimental tracks in which he obviously declares his love for lo-fi elektro bliebmusic. Aardvarck's music isn't easy to describe, but every track consists of a strange a-linear breaks pattern and some weird loops that ultimately do seem to sound funky. Just imagine putting Matthew Bushwacka and Aphex Twin in one room forcing them to make a funky extraterrestrial sounding track? Voila, you've tasted the sound of DJ Aardvarck. Listen for instance to 'Dweep' with it's strange break, funky bassline and weird almost a-melodic melody. Or the even stranger sounding hectic hustled breaks of 'Bassplayers'? Estranging music that you can expect from a label like Music For Speakers. And yes, that is a compliment.
