By dealing drugs the brothers Edsel and Simon Dope earned enough money to finance a demo for their band 'Dope'. With this demo they gained a deal with Epic Records and now their first album 'Felons and Revolutionaries' is in stores. On this album, the five-piece band Dope delivers post-industrial metal in its best ways. The structure of the songs is very good; this album grabs you by your throat from the very first song 'Pig Society' (one of the highlights) to the end of the album. Most striking song is 'Fuck tha police', a cover of a song by Niggaz With Attitude. The vocals of Edsel are freaky, and the rhyming lyrics deal with drugs and imprisonment.
Dope is already on tour with Static-X, which is no surprise; this album is good food for fans of Static-X, Coal Chamber and White Zombie. Listen to it and get addicted to Dope.
