Luckily, our dear Kevin explains the story about the title 'Red Terror' on his website, because musically it couldn't be further away from terror, anger, aggression, etc. No, regarding the music our dear Kevin is an all-around nice guy. The ideal son-in-law. He's so nice that every note he plays is smooth and lovely. Not really a problem of course, but it doesn't make the music exciting in any form. It's all safe, the colours all stay within the lines, and the car never touches the white stripes at either side of the road. A bit of britpop here, a touch of Paul Weller there, and a huge amount of The Beatles at their nicest, and our dear Kevin mixes it all together and then sings over it with a wee bit more masculine (but thinner) voice than Suede's Brett Anderson. The only thing remarkable about this EP is the fact that this typical English music is made by someone from California.
