Dutch DJ/producer Steve Rachmad has been at it for quite some years now, and he's become a regular when it comes to providing relentless loopy techno at parties all over the continent. 'In the Mix' is a nice introduction to the work of Steve Rachmad. Not only for his DJ qualities, but also for his work as a producer, as he used three of his own tracks. A quick look on the track listing will tell you what to expect. Surgeon, Technasia, Steve Stoll, Joey Beltram, and The Advent - Steve Rachmad definitely likes his techno loopy. The mixing is fine, but the tracks are just too monotonous for my taste. This is techno just like in the old days, "die Musik, die immer bumm bumm macht", but a bit more variaton never hurts.
