Pop is just one letter away from that stinky mess we leave in the toilet. Some bands can, however, package it pretty well. Abba managed to sing about 'Money, Money, Money' and rake in the... uh... what currency do they use in Sweden? Whatever. Sweden has always been the forerunner in the slick-produced pop genre. Not only Abba was conceived there, so was Waltz For Debbie. Apart from the same breeding ground, they don't have the ability to get me hooked on their europop, full of keyboards, beats and female vocals. Their songs conjure up the image of sun, loads of sun. There's even a track entitled 'Sun Song' just to make sure you don't miss the point. And where most like bright 'n' sunny music, their inoffensive pop is just the mess I wanna flush down the toilet.
