(week 4-99) Hi there and welcome to the first issue of The Kinda Muzik You Like. Basically this webzine is focussed on dutch people with interest in 'indie/rock' music, but hey, every-one into cool-muzik is welcome!
We are still experimenting with what we can do, but this might give you an idea of what you can expect for the next issues.
Please start throwing some feedback to us at zodiac@stad.dsl.nl (or use the form), so that we can optimize this site to your (musical) demands!
Issue #2 will be out in week 6 (14 feb).

Recently released: working myself through a backlog of albums, I ran into this fine band: Soulwax. In November they released their second album 'Much Against Everyone's Advice' (on PIAS) and proved that they worked themself up to the level of potential summerfestival-favorites like dEUS did. Take some time to check out 2 of their songs: My Cruel Joke and Much Against Everyone's Advice (16kbps realaudio, thanx to radio3voor12).
Previous one:
'Without You I'm Nothing' by Placebo. Click here, here or here for some nice acoustic tracks performed @ the VPRO studio's in '96.

Newcomer in the section of loud music is Static-X. If Prong, System Of A Down, etc are your kind of bands, than you should check out this cool US-based band. Their debute album will be released in late march ('99) on Warner and the guys mentioned that they were planning to do the Euro-festivals this year. Listen to Push it or Stem.

One of the coolest new singles of the moment is Snowball by Dutch band The Cords. Full-length album 'Lunchbox' will be released next month.
Sebadoh proved their quality as indie-rockband end of last year at a promo-gig in Amsterdam. New single Flame shows that Barlow is an excellent songwriter. Album next month.
Listen to Snowball and Flame in 16kbps RealAudio from 3voor12.
