First of all, what's happening with the band and in particular with Geffen?
"We are writing a new album to be released on a new label, probably called Interscope. The company is a merger of Geffen, A&M, and Interscope."
What were your hopes when GvsB joined Geffen anyway?
"We wanted to try to expand our audience, mostly."
What's on your agenda for the next couple of months?
"Continue writing, play a few shows, and hopefully record in late summer."
How did it feel to do support for Garbage? Had any fun?
"It was lots of fun. We got a tour bus for the first time, and generally hung out with Garbage and caused as much trouble as we could!"
If you were able to make changes to the sound of one album, would that be on 'House of GvsB' or 'Freak*On*Ica'?
"I wouldn't change a thing about any of our albums. I think that changing records after the recording-fact is a great mistake, remastered albums always sound worse than the original."
What do you think of the Internet? Does it offer special opportunities for bands?
"I love the internet right now. The big companies have yet to fully take it over, so everyone is able to reach all the people on an equal basis."
What's your opinion on MPeg3 distribution of your songs over the Internet?
"I love it. Get the music out there. But you have to support bands somehow, so if you like it, buy the album! Or at least come to the show!"
Can you name your three favourite European bands?
"It's a shame that Evil Superstars broke up, because I thought they were great. I also like Air and the new PJ Harvey album."
What's been spinning on your turntable/cd-player lately?
"I've been listening to the Massive Attack album "Mezzanine" alot, as well as the new Make-Up single collection. And spinning Kruder & Dorfmeister "The K&D Sessions"
In case all other band members suddenly 'call it a quit', what would you do next?
"I would continue to work in the studio doing remixes and recording, and perhaps pursue my side band, Americruiser, full-time."
Which days with the band would you like to do over again? Which days not?
"I love playing, but don't like travelling that much, but I would love to go to Tokyo again, it was amazing..."
Last one: already have any plans for this New Year's Eve?!?
"Hopefully I'll be on a beach in Mexico!!"
