[Scene Drexciyan home base Lake Michigan, the control room]
"Yo-ho Drexciyan controller No.2 whassup with you?"
"Chillin' No.1, finishing some tracks."
No.1 slaps No.2 on the back: "So tell me, how was your holiday in Nee-pon?
Get any cool new gadgets?"
No.2 proceeds with programming a drum track: "Nah, nothing special. I was
more into the idorus, virtual honeys, knowwoti'msayin'. Hot damn, now that's
progress. I just can't understand why Sony starts importing these babes."
"I hear you, did you say hi to Godzilla by the way?"
"Wasn't at home... probably busy eating some sorry-ass island for breakfast.
The guy's got a great crib by the way. Huge. We should ask him if we can
record there one day. You know, to get some fucked-up acoustics. Anyway, how
did your holiday work out, No.1?"
No.1, in the process of installing a new piece of equipment, smiles.
"Chillin' in the Caribbean. Man, I got rid of my warrior stress in no time.
You know -- me, my laptop, some cocktails."
"Yeah, listening to that Other People Place album... I could just form a
picture of Mr. Hard-ass Drexciya blowing off some steam."
"Yeah, well time to go to work. Finish some tracks so we can get old man
Neptune off our backs and go on some missions like in the old days."
They give each other a high-five.
"Speaking of which, I got this left-over track which somehow didn't fit on
the album, which I think would be a great opener. I called it 'Under Sea
Disturbances' and it's really relaxing; sort of lulls the listener into our
trap and then BANG! we hit them with 'Digital Tsunami'! Got to be careful
not to sound too peaceful; otherwise people will start to think we mellowed
out."
No.2 starts waving his hands:
"Yo, don't worry about that. See -- I got this new rhythm track which was
inspired by our legendary mission to Ociya Syndor, although it misses
something here."
"Yeah those were the days. We kicked some serious ass."
No.1 and No.2 start head nodding to the track.
"Ja, das ist der scheisse. Man, do I have the thing for you! See this box I
just installed? Some crazy Rasta gave it to me, said it was some new
weird-ass bass multiplier. Wanna give it a try?"
No.2 nods, so No.1 starts turning some dials.
wwwwWWWWWAAAAOOOOOMPPPHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRR
"Ggggggoddamn! That's amazing. I love this machine!"
Like maniacs they start filling up tracks with bass sounds from the new
machine.
[Later, somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, Drexciyan controllers No.1 and No.2 are swimming outside of their cruiser, testing tracks underwater while taking notes]
"Okay next track."
The speakers of the cruiser pump out another Drexciya track at a volume that
causes underwater turbulence. Finally a green whale is lured into the
slipstream, and while swimming through the music, happily starts to sing.
"Cool. Let's call this one 'Song of the Green Whale.' Kinda obvious, but
shit, what else do you call such an amazing sight?"
"Agreed. Okay next one."
A track with a Kraftwerk-style rhythm begins, only occasionally layered with
some typical Drexciya sounds.
Not long afterward, a wave of plankton gently moves along with the music.
"Beautiful. I say we call this one 'The Plankton Organization'."
"Deal. So that's it. We got titles for all tracks."
"Yo, wait up No.1. I still have one track that we maybe could use as one of
them hidden bonus tracks?"
"Could be fun. And we have about 20 minutes left on CD-pressings. Fire away!"
A weird mechanical skank is heard playing from the speakers. Both No.1 and
No.2 start to do the aqua boogie, when out of the blue, Jar Jar appears.
"Heyyyyyy, meesa wanna playa techno music too."
"Shiznitz, it's Jar Jar! Quick, No.2! Hit him with a hydro cube!"
No.2, with some deft aiming, hits Jar Jar square on the nose.
"That was too close. The fucker came out of nowhere. You want to take him
back to the station... maybe Dr. Blowfins can use him for some experiments?"
"Nah forget about it. Let that fool be. He'll probably drive us insane with
that inane Gungan chatter before we reach home base. Oh, and let's nix the
bonus track."
