The second and latest release of American four-piece band Drown is called 'Product of a Two-faced World'. On their first album "Hold on to the Hollow', Drown showed us how metal, with hardcore influences, can easily be combined with light-industrial sounds. Although the band's line-up has changed drastically - since their first album the original bassist and guitarist have been replaced - Drown's style still is some sort of metal with a light-industrial touch. That Drown has been through a very tough period may be obvious when reading the booklet and listening to the lyrics of singer Lauren, who is a very good vocalist. Fortunately, the band has turned the corner. Drown have released an album which is worth a listen. It's been produced very well. Favourite songs are opener 'You never listened', 'Tired of living like this', 'Need this need' and 'Kerosene', a song that's also available on their EP, with guest appearances by a.o. Orgy's Ryan Shuck, Videodrone's Ty Elam and Jared from (Hed)p.e.
Fortunately, Drown haven't drowned in their hard times. They have swum and reached the shore, ready to prepare their third release!
