Already the debut of the year? Really possible, because every time you play 'All Dressed Up' it becomes better and better. Some songs jump up to you immediately like 'It's Not Her' and 'Rainy Days': the ones that are very melodic and sometimes Beatlesque, and the coherent singing really strikes you. Like the just beautiful 'Wastelands' with an excellent fitting string section. Guest musicians infiltrate the songs in a very subtle manner: Everything in its right place. Redivider also has a rough side, sometimes also a little bluesy, but nothing that prevents 'All Dressed Up' from being a whole. The voices are mixed into the background most of the time, which sounds very 60s. Also, the hand of producer Frans Hagenaars (Daryll-Ann, Bettie Serveert, Caesar, etc.) who must have had the same idea about the sound as he had with the Lucas album 'Undesired Lonely Story' (release early this year): the quality to make music sound timeless and modern at the same time. With a finishing touch by Sean Magee in the Abbey Road Studios, London. It has been said that the most brilliant albums are the ones that take more time to let them effect you.
