Hahaha! I'm so sorry, I can't help myself when I listen to this. One look at the cover and you almost immediately know how this sounds. Two young Japanese girls give their own interpretation of the Carpenters, flowerpop and a bit of eighties pop, with a Casio orchestra to back them up. I'm just not able to take this seriously, it sounds just so amateuristic. It sounds a bit like those typical Japanese karaoke bars you see in certain movies. Some songs are sung in English, some in Japanese, all of them constantly being on the edge of being on- and off-key. Did I mention that amateuristic instrumentation out of a Casiobox already? I did? Well, hearing is believing. And the song titles and lyrics are so naive and sweet, I almost didn't want to write this review in case I would hurt their feelings. I'm sorry girls... It's just not my cup of saké, can't listen to more than two songs in a row. If someone is interested in this record, please mail me and I will send it you for free.
