The last few years Sandor Caron has released some incredible music on Dutch innovative labels like Delsin, Signnum, and Music For Speakers. On the last he recently debuted with 'Harmonica and Cross'. The title track of this album is also present on this latest release, together with two interpretations of his masterpiece 'Agenda' and a brand-new track called 'Stokkum'. Sonar Lodge remixes 'Agenda' with style: A dark, sinister feel hangs over the jazzy cinematic original. Like Techno Animal not using their basses. Wonderkids Funckarma turn 'Agenda' upside down, add a distorted flavour to it, and thus create a cold, but emotional grinding track in the tradition of Aphex Twin and Autechre. Sandor's new track 'Stokkum' is a downtempo track with nice organic drum breaks and open atmosphere that makes the really strange, wave-like melody more alive. A blend of 80s wave and 90s trip-hop. Debut title track 'Harmonica and Cross' is much lighter and knows a really smooth drum'n'bass feel. Like Bukem in an autumn depression. Naked trees. Red, yellow, and green leaves everywhere. Suffering makes life bearable. Sandor Caron too.
