Guitar pop. There are still people who think the world hasn't had enough of this music. So they try to write some songs, put them on an album, and release it unto the whole wide world. As long as they don't pretend to do anything new, it's okay by me. This is the case with Stonedigger, a Belgian band that likes to play melodic pop songs with some distorted guitars, some harmony vocals, and the occasional acoustic guitar. Nothing special, but not bad either. Some songs sound like K's Choice with male vocals, others like the Lemonheads, some like Pixies meeting Weezer. None of the songs score below average, but they made one big mistake: They decided to do an awful version of Bowie's 'Space Oddity'. They should have known better - You just don't mess with Bowie. Like I said before, this is guitar pop, and if you like the above-mentioned bands, go buy this record. But don't expect anything special.
