German trance and techno god meets UK acid pioneer when Peter Ford's new minimal and funky variant of the German click-tech blueprint is given a dark yet refreshing re-rub by the Uebergerman himself, Sven Väth, with the kind aid of the Klang Elektronik crew. But the big surprise is the amazing result: a slowly moving hybrid that expresses no desire to choose between the ice-cool lyricism of Detroit's early nineties rhythmical revolution, the industrial and Neue Welle roots of German techno and house and the always dramatically brought about but heavenly equally German ambient trance cycles. Instead wizard Väth puts all these elements into one multi-layered and totally hypnotizing cocktail. And up till the moment that I write this its haunting female vocal snippet hasn't ceased to remind me of E-dancer's majestic (and thank god recently re-released) classic 'Powerbass'. Germany keeps on ruling, then?
