Nuclear Rabbit - Intestinal Fortitude [Beach recordings]
This is prob. on of the most hardest albums to review. After their first
album "Vicuna" it took 5 years for Nuclear Rabbit to write songs and make
an awesome 2nd album. It's a lot better than "Vicuna" the changes within
the music got more subtle. All of the control their instruments better. The
music itself still tells an isolated story. The booklet contains some cool
artwork, about nuked rabbits or some drawing about a certain song. From
those 12 songs it's really hard to pick two songs which are my fav. songs.
The best combinations made out music, humor and everything else are "My
Girls Got Guts " and "5th Grade Alchemy ". For more info and soundclips go

System Of A Down - s/t
I've got this album on tape, Thanx to Stella who got me into them, and soon
on CD. If you asked me in October what I thought about this album you
probably would hear something in the likes of: System Of A Down makes some
bad ass music. The lyrics are political about religion and wars, due to
their Armenian origin, which also influenced the way of making music. Now
they also hit me more on an emotional, personal, basis. I already had this
almost instantly with "Spiders", it made me feel sad. The beginning of
"Soil" makes me laugh. This grew to unto almost half of the songs, or at
least parts from the songs.
If you're into DK, Refused, Crass, Rudimentary Peni, Naked Agression, you
might try this as well.
Randy - You can't keep a good band down [Sonic Rendezvouz]
Another great album from this Swedish Propagandhi styled band. There's a
good variety of the type of songs on this record. Since they day I got this
it hadn't bored me till death. They're songs open your eyes and ears and
hopefully by some thinking of yourself the corporate shit will be ignored
more and more. If you're into the Fat Wreck stuff well I'm pretty sure you
're gonna like this album a lot. It's a good beginning of 1999 and hope
Randy will hit the Netherlands soon.
